Belt conveyor may deviate during operation, which will affect the conveying efficiency and may even damage the equipment.
There are several factors that cause belt deviation:
1.The center of the conveyor components is not in a straight line, causing the belt to deviate.
When installing the machine, the center of the head, tail, and middle frame is not placed in a straight line in the horizontal direction. This will cause the longitudinal center line of the belt to be misaligned with the axis of the roller, which will cause the belt to deviate.
2.Belt deviation caused by incorrect roller installation position.
In the belt production line, multiple rollers can only make the machine run safely and efficiently in cooperation with each other. However, when the roller is installed, the wrong installation position will cause uneven force on the belt, which will cause the belt to deviate.
3.The wrong position of the roller frame or the loose bolts that fix it will also cause the belt to deviate.
When fixing the roller frame of the belt production line, it is necessary to ensure that the symmetry between the center line of the roller and the center line of the machine frame is less than 3 mm. Loose bolts fixing the roller frame will also cause uneven force on the belt, which will cause the belt to deviate.
4.Belt deviation caused by vibration during equipment operation.
Mechanical vibration of the belt conveyor during operation is inevitable. The faster the belt runs, the greater the vibration, and the greater the belt deviation. In the belt conveyor, the vibration caused by the radial run out of the roller has the greatest impact on the belt deviation.
The adjustment method of belt deviation is as follows:
1.Adjust the position of the driving roller and the redirecting roller.
The installation position of the roller must be perpendicular to center line of length direction of the belt conveyor. For the head roller, if belt deviates to right side of the roller, the fixed seat on the right side should move forward; if belt deviates to left side of the roller, the fixed seat on the left side should move forward. The adjustment method of tail roller is jus opposite of head roller. After repeated adjustments, the belt is adjusted to a more ideal position.
2.Adjustment of the tensioning position.
The two ends of tensioning roller should be translated at the same time to ensure that the axis of roller is perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the belt
3.Adjustment of deviation of the two-way running belt conveyor
When adjusting, carefully observe the relationship between belt movement direction and the deviation trend, and adjust them one by one. The focus should be on the adjustment of the drive roller and the redirection roller, followed by the adjustment of the roller and the material drop point. The two-way running belt line can add belt guides to slow down the belt deviation.
